Coda® Aero is air purifier with the Coda® filters that reduced particulates, harmful volatile organic compunds (VOCs) and chemical airborne contaminants (CACs).

270° design allows the Coda® Aero to be placed anywhere in the room. The variable speed fan can be adjusted to the lab room size and air flow.

Specially designed HEPA filter removes 99.97% of contaminants and activated carbon together with alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate for optimum absorption and oxidation of a wide variety of gases and particulate contaminants.

Supplied with an initial filter that must be changed after three months.

QwikCheck™ Beads is an FDA approved quality control material for use in automated and manual sperm counting systems. The beads are for in-vitro use only and can be used to assess the accuracy and precision of the laboratory’s sperm counting methods by providing a known target value.

Each kit of QwikCheck™ Beads contains: Two 5 ml. vials of latex beads – one high range and one low range, One 5 ml. vial of a NEGATIVE (ZERO) control, The NEGATIVE control can also be run for motility, Product insert describing how to use the beads on each type of system.

Benchtop CO2 Incubator

CO2 Mini Incubator optimize culture conditions, for instance during micromanipulation or as an extra mini incubator placed inside laminar flow cabinets.

The flow rate is adjustable on the side and is monitored on the LED display by the digital flowmeter. The humidification is obtained by flushing the gas through the built-in gas humidifier.

Temperature range of ambient to 50oC with accuracy of +/- 0.2oC.

Holds all types of flat warming blocks  and corresponding culture dishes. It has 2 chambers, each with its old lid, and maintains correct pH by a constant flow of pre-mixed gas.

Makler Counting Chamber

The Makler Counting Chamber is a simple to use device for rapid and accurate sperm count and motility evaluation directly from undiluted semen.

With only 10 microns depth: 1/10 of the depth of ordinary chambers. Constructed of two pieces of optically flat glass, the upper layer serves as a cover glass, with a 1 sq.mm fine grid in the center subdivided into 100 squares of 0.1 X 0.1 mm each.  Spacing is firmly secured by four quartz pins. Percentage and quality of motility and sperm counts are easily obtained.

It is recommended to use a 20X objective and 10X eyepiece(s) for proper evaluation. Set includes: Counting Chamber, Chamber Grip, Brush, Wooden Box and Instruction Booklet.

At the end of the test the results are displayed on the screen in units that can be immediately compared with the pass and fail criteria given in the standards (ISO or EU GGMP).

Air is drawn through the detection chamber by a pump. A laser beam is directed across the chamber and any particles contained in the air reflect the light, appearing as a bright flash. The larger the particle, the brighter the flash. A photo detector measures the brightness of each flash and the meter counts and sorts them into the three size ranges. The software then calculates the results.

The HandiLaz® Mini is calibrated by NIST traceable particles and adheres to the same standards that an independent inspector does.

VOC monitoring

Since 1998 (J Hall et al, Human Reproduction) it is accepted that IVF laboratories are at risk of environmental contamination from harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). Exclusively from Research Instruments comes the RI VOC Meter for detection of VOCs at very low levels. It can be surprising where VOCs are found. In field tests we have found VOCs present in laboratories, incubators, incubator gas tubing and lab cabinets. We have also found VOCs present in laboratories where VOC removing filtration was in use.

Why use the RI VOC meter?

The RI VOC Meter is the smallest handheld monitor on the market. It is extremely sensitive and capable of detecting contamination at 0.1ppm level. The RI VOC Meter is 200 times more sensitive than Heated Metal Oxide (HMOS) sensors that have been used until now and for the first time VOCs can be detected and eliminated before they become toxic to embryos. (0.1ppm is below an established threshold of embryo toxicity. )

How is it used?

Simply start the device and use to sniff out areas of high VOC. An audible alarm will sound in areas where VOCs are higher than recommended and the concentration of VOCs present will be displayed on the screen. For added protection, the unit can be wall-mounted and VOC levels logged continuously.

How does it work?

The detection is performed by a technology called Photo-Ionisation Detection (PID). The air is drawn into the detection chamber by a pump. UV light is used to ionize the molecular bonds in any chemicals that are present. These icons are electrically conductive and the meter detects the current that flows. The more contamination, the more conductive the air becomes.

Validation

The threshold level of toxicity of Acrolein for mouse embryos has been established as 0.58ppm when dissolved in media. International consensus provides guideline limits for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in the range from 0.10 to 0.65ppm depending on location. Field experience suggests the 0.5ppm indicates potential IAQ contaminants in laboratories.

Spermfuge – Temperature Regulated Centrifuge

Spermfuge is a centrifuge, dedicated for improving the total motile sperm recovery from the parent semen sample, by controlling/maintaining the main parameter of “Temperature” thus aimed at Enhancing the ART results. The instrument has been designed to regulate and subsequently maintain the “Critical” inner chamber temperature before, after and during centrifugation.

With its Temperature controlled chamber (room temperature to 42°C), programmable microprocessor based controls, multiple tube selection, accurate g-force selection, independent centrifugation and/or heating selection.

The heating range of Spermfuge’s chamber is from 2°C above ambient to 42°C. The intelligent control system does not allow the centrifugation to commence till the set temperature is attained. However, one does have the option to commence the centrifugation without chamber heating and to commence the chamber heating without centrifugation.

Mobile Nest Test Tube Warmer

Base station for 4 portable warmers. The warmer is a handheld device with Li-ionrechargable battery. It is equipped with heating element, Digital sensor, microcontroller, nonvolatile memory and LED indicators. When placed on base station, it gets conected electrically by its contacts. These contacts help base station and the mobile device communicates with each other and also charge the battery. The mobile nest when in mobile mode continuously monitors thetemperature with a 14 bit accuracy, corrects it several times a second.

Drummond Pipet Aid XP

The Drummond Pipet-Aid® XP set the standard for a convenient alternative to mouth pipetting in the laboratory. A patented, easy-to-use volume control mechanism permits precise fluid intake and delivery.

The XP has three settings on each button to set the desired speed range (S=slow, M=medium, F=fast). The fill and empty buttons are independent of each other and can be set at different speeds. The speeds are changed by simply rotating the button until a detent is felt and the letter is upright when held in the right hand. The buttons are also proportional in nature. As with all other Pipet-Aids, the further you depress the button, faster filling or dispensing will result.

Unlike other Pipet-Aids with the T.C. nosepiece, the XP has a one piece nosepiece that contains the filter and rubber insert. This nosepiece locks into place and will not loosen when removing the pipet. To remove nosepiece, slide the nosepiece release button towards the handle and turn the nosepiece one quarter turn counter-clockwise

The color configuration of each goblet can be customized to the storage protocol. Colour becomes an integrated part of the sample identification when it is associated with a sample type, protocol and / or storage level. Material and colors are fully compatible and resistant to long term storage at very low temperatures, including immersion into liquid nitrogen.

Goblets and lids are perforated in order to facilitate the flow of liquid nitrogen or nitrogen vapor into the goblet and around the straws. For storage in liquid nitrogen, the visotubes have not been perforated at their base so as to maintain the liquid nitrogen around the straws even if the goblet is temporarily extracted from the freezer. The goblet and visotubes maintain the sample at a stable low temperature until its decided thawing and use.

The colored plug ends of the straws are visible in all peripheral visotubes and in the clear central round visotube. The central higher visotube protects the straws under the lid when goblets are stacked during storage.

Liquid Level Alarm

Protect your valuable biological specimens with CryoLert. This liquid nitrogen alarm alerts you to changes in LN2 levels. Vacuum in vessels can deteriorate over time  causing LN2 to evaporate faster.

The CryoLert continuously monitors LN2 levels, alerting you audible, visually and with relay contacts when:
– LN2 level fall below sensor
– Sensor Failure
– Power Failure

The Fill Timeout switch disables the alarm for 10 minutes during filling.

Accuracy of our cryogenic level sensor is +/- 5mm.

Supplied with Single Channel Cryogenic Sensor (Standard of 600mm teflon and 600mm PVC, total 1200mm sensor length).

LEC9500 6 Channels LN2 Level Alarm

Accommodate up to 6 sets of Cryogenic Tanks for monitoring of low level of LN2.

With relay contacts for external alarm, power failure indicator with auto reset.

Bench or wall mounting. With LN2 fill timer disables alarm outputs, prevent false alarms, tank can be disconnected from the system during fill time.

Give an audible and visual alarm in the event of low liquid level i.e. when the thermister is no longer in contact with liquid level.

CHART MVE -190°C Vapour Phase Freezers

The offset neck and rotating tray design provides access to all stored products. Efficient thermal design ensures 95% of system surface area enclosed by vacuum while maintaining the lowest sample temperature in the industry.(-190°C).
Lowest liquid usage typically 40% below equivalent standard ranks of similar capacity. Liquid reservoir below sample platform will typically maintain temperature for more than 20 days in vapour use.

The MVE Vario Series is the innovative and energy efficient alternative for ultra low temperature to cryogenic storage. The completely dry sample storage area will maintain a user defined temperature anywhere between -50°C and -150°C.

The MVE Vario Series eliminates the possibility of sample contamination via contact with LN2 while providing the safety margin and consistent temperature profile, even with the lid open, that is associated with LN2 based cryogenic storage.
